America is a great Italian name.

 Amerigo Vespucci, navigator and explorer, was one of the first to recognized that Christopher Columbus's voyages led him to a new continent despite in being credited for his discovery. Vespucci's letters describing his voyages reshaped Europeans' understanding of geography, leading America to being named after him.

Where did the word Boccetta come from?

Should you were to research the word "boccetta", you will not find it associated with the popular sport of "bocce". All the dictionaries define the word as a translation to mean "small bottle" with no relationship to the game or to the balls used to play bocce.  The author has applied for the trademark word, redefined, to closer represent boccetta as the sport. 


The "etta" suffice carries the meaning of small while the root "Bocc" carries the abbreviation for Bocce, when combined, means "small" bocce. Some people would interpret the word as an equivalent to "backyard" bocce with court size of 60 feet long as opposed to conventional tournament court size of 90 feet long.
